What is a typical working day like for you?

I usually begin by checking my emails and replying to any client queries. After this I plan my day, creating a to-do list of work to be completed throughout the day.

What particular challenges do you regularly encounter?

Some queries can be more technical than others! There is a great accounts team on hand here, who are more than willing to help with any problems.

What are some of the biggest challenges faced by your clients?

I find that some clients, especially those in their first year, struggle with maintaining bookkeeping records. It can be confusing, and there’s a lot on their plate.

How are you able to use your skills to solve problems for them?

I find that clear communication with clients is key when they have queries. Whether that is via email or by phone, it is important to understand the problem and explain a clear but simple solution to ensure that the client feels supported.

What is your favourite part of the job?

I enjoy the independence, managing my own client base and daily workload.

What do you like most about working for The Accountancy Partnership?

The people and the atmosphere, everyone is so friendly here.

What skills do you find most useful to do your job?

I find time management is so important to maintain within the turnaround time and to meet deadlines.

Where’s your favourite place to visit on days off?

Prenton Park, the home of Tranmere Rovers- even when we are playing awful.

Tell us about your proudest achievement.

Joining TAP at the age of 19.

What are you reading/binge watching at the moment?

I’m currently on my yearly re-watch of all the Harry Potter films.

Who do you admire, and why?

I really admire my parents, they have always supported me in all my choices, especially my last-minute decision to go into employment rather than university.
